Sorry :(

I haven't been posting very much- life is crazy with an almost- 3 month old :-P

Seth is getting so big- I'm guessing he's up to 13 pounds already. I blows my mind. He has pretty much outgrown all his 0-3 month clothes. He is so smiley and content and rarely cries (yes I know we're lucky!). He seems to always be observing and learning about the world. He is a good sleeper- he wakes a couple times during the night to eat, but neither of us really fully wake up, and he drifts right back to sleep. I am totally convinced that AP (attachment parenting) is practically magic, and is the only reason I am sane and well rested!

I recovered from mastitis, only to break out in a rash and fever just as I was finishing the antibiotics. It turns out I am allergic to sulfa drugs- go figure. So now I am finally getting over that and feeling pretty normal, though getting headaches a lot, as I did before I was pregnant, and hoping to finally find out the cause of them soon.

I had a portrait job on Monday, which went really well, and I'm making earrings here and there to try to sell on Etsy (online handmade marketplace). Manny and I are also both ChaCha guides in our spare time. So with all that and the baby I'm keeping busy! We are planning to move back to West Palm Beach in late July/early August; we're not sure yet if we'll be renting or buying, but we're really hoping for a real house with a yard for Seth to play in!

Manny is still working overnights, so Seth and I are on our own from either Wednesday or Thursday night until Sunday each week. It's not the best but we're getting used to it. Things that used to overwhelm me about being a mom are now second nature- it all falls into place and life has taken on a nice sort of rhythm and balance. I've heard that after 3 months it gets easier- we shall see!

Laughing Baby!

This morning I was playing with Seth, and he laughed for the first time! It was the best sound ever! He sucks his thumb now too- on purpose. He's becoming more aware of his hands. He still amazes me with his cuteness :) We went to the pediatrician on Monday, and he now weighs 12lbs 9oz- he has more than doubled his weight in just two months!

I have had mastitis this week, which is fairly common during breastfeeding but very painful and makes you feel like you have the flu. I'm on antibiotics and several natural remedies, and this morning I finally feel a bit better.

No other news for now- life is sweet and we're always busy!

Check back soon for some actual text here- right now I am typing one-handed, nursing with the other arm :-P
