Cookies for Milk

I got this recipe from this blog: Rumble in the Kitchen. I figured that at the very least they would taste good and be fairly healthy, but I have actually noticed an increase in my milk supply! These cookies are great for any nursing mama.

Chocolate Oatmeal Lactation Cookies

Ingredients:

1 C butter (I accidentally only used 1 stick-1/2 cup- and they came out fine!)
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
4 T water
2 T flaxseed meal (no subs)
2 Lg eggs
1 t vanilla
2 C flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
3 C Thick cut oats (used regular old fashioned Quaker oats with no problem)
1 Bag Chocolate chips I used about 1/2 a bag because that's all I had)
2 T Brewers Yeast or Nutritional Yeast Flakes

Preheat oven at 375.

Mix 2 T of flaxseed meal and water, set aside 3-5 minutes.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs.
Stir flaxseed mix into butter mix and add vanilla.
Beat until well blended and mixture turns a pale yellow.
Mix dry ingredients, except oats and choc chips.
Add butter mix to dry ingredients.
Stir in the oats and then the choc chips.
Drop on ungreased or parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake 8-12 minutes.

Seth is 7 months old! Alternate title: We've moved!

So much has been going on lately that I'm kind of struggling to keep up sometimes. On our two-year anniversary (September 1st), we closed on the house. We didn't think we'd be able to move in yet, but it turned out that the sellers were gone and we got our keys! That night Manny and I ate Thai food together in our new home. We spent the next several days cleaning, painting, and moving things, and on Saturday we were able to move all our furniture and start living here. We have gotten a lot unpacked, but there is still a lot to do. I am honestly flabbergasted by how much stuff we have accumulated since we got married only two years ago. When we moved into our apartment we barely had anything. We're blessed to have all that we do, and very blessed to have this home. It is wonderful. Here are some pictures of our moving process, and Seth's seven month shots of course. I will post photos of our home when we're done with everything.
