This is when I love being a mom

When I hold my little one fast asleep, limp in my arms, completely trusting and perfectly peaceful

When he stops eating to look up coo and "talk" to me

When I look at him and he immediately breaks into and enormous grin

When he laughs, which makes me laugh, which makes him laugh more, and we're just looking at each other and giggling

When I remember how tiny he was and how much he's grown already

When I think about the awesome privileged it is to know this little person, and the opportunity I have to watch him grow up and influence his life.

a brief update

Yes it's 12:45 am and I should definitely be in bed. Seth had a rough evening and just finally settled a while ago, so here I am. This is unusual- he really isn't a fussy baby at all.

I have been so busy that time is getting away from me and I am getting pretty exhausted. We have been house hunting this week, and today we saw one we love and are putting in an offer. We're so excited and we really hope it works out- we could be homeowners in a couple months!
Tomorrow is going to be a rest and recoup day for me and Seth though- I think we're both burned out from all the running around.

I am so thankful for my family- my loving husband and our joyful son. What a blessing life is. really.

As you can see, Seth loves his pacifier. He started using it a few weeks ago, and it has been helpful because he has such an intense sucking reflex. Sometimes he won't let it go :)
